We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as a
Maintenance Specialist. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
THE ROLE:
The Maintenance Specialist’s primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment and machines.
- Repair and maintain the company’s plant & equipment.
- Ensure the effective operations of the service supplies, including electricity generators, steam boilers water storage treatment and pumping, and compressed air.
- Install new machinery and equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluate the available information.
- Ensure that Health & Safety and HACCP guidelines are being met throughout the maintenance operations, including good hygienic standards.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A minimum of four (4) CXC passes including English and Mathematics.
- City and Guild Certification in Plant Maintenance or a relevant Trade.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
- Ability to work shifts, on weekend and flexible hours.
- Must be meticulous.
- Must be safety conscious.
- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Should be computer literate.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical and electrical/electronic problems.
- Self-motivated with a good work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
