Lions South, HIPAC cheerful givers

Every year the Lions Club of Barbados South spreads Christmas cheer to some of the less fortunate people in several communities across Christ Church and St. Michael by distributing food hampers.

This year, in addition to the food hampers, the club shared fully cooked Farmer’s Choice hams to deserving families through a joint initiative with HIPAC Limited, manufacturers of Farmer’s Choice products.

“We know Barbadians love ham, especially during the Christmas season, the Lions Club of Barbados South is delighted to share with those in the Christ Church community who may otherwise have been unable to have that Bajan tradition of a freshly baked ham on Christmas morning,” the Club said.

HIPAC’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Abigail Brown, and Marketing Coordinator, Shanice Brewster-Charles, said they were pleased that the company was able to join with the Lions Club of Barbados South again for this worthy cause.

The joint community project is one of the many initiatives the Club initiates throughout the year in assisting families and communities. “We, the Lions Club of Barbados South, are very much appreciative of HIPAC to partner with us in this worthy case. This project was sponsored by HIPAC from 2011 and we look forward to the continuation of this partnership in 2021 and beyond,” the Club said.
