General Manager

Derrick Isaac

Derrick Isaac’s career spans more than twenty years in manufacturing operations, throughout the Caribbean region. He has held positions of General Manager, Logistic & Procurement Manager, Audit Manager and Finance Manager in various companies operating in the Caribbean. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accounts (FCCA) and holds an MBA from the University Of New Orleans in the United States of America.

Mr. Isaac is also involved with the University of the West Indies Open Campus and has lectured extensively in Fraud Examination, Financial Accounting, and Business Organization.

Mr. Isaac assumed executive responsibility for strategic leadership, growth and management of the operations of Hipac Limited from November 2017.

Production General Manager

Mr. A. M. Leslie Proverbs

Leslie is one of the two original founding members of HIPAC Limited. Currently, his chief focus and responsibilities are for the Processing Operations, Procurement, Quality Control and R&D. Trained by experienced North American meat processors, completing formal courses in food safety and processing and being involved in food and agriculture businesses for over three decades, Leslie has a wealth of experience in manufacturing and product development. He's a self-confessed "foodie" who constantly has fine food and beverage on his mind!

Financial Controller

Anne Marshall

Anne Marshall has been employed as Financial Controller at Hipac Limited since April 2015. Anne worked within the Goddard Enterprises Limited Group of companies for the past 17 years where she was part of the management teams, as Financial Controller for 10 years at McBride Caribbean Limited and 5 years at The West Indies Rum Distillery. Her major achievements at McBride Caribbean include heading a team to successfully implement a new computer accounting information system and, after the company’s plant was destroyed by fire, dealt with staffing issues in a determined & decisive manner that reflected
positively on the Company.

Mrs. Marshall, prior to working within the Goddard Enterprises Limited Group, started her career in accounting and finance as an auditor at Price Waterhouse before moving into her first management position at age 24 as financial controller of a travel agency and tour operator, St James Travel and Tours Limited.

A person of high personal integrity who is self-driven, reliable and dependable; Anne sets targets and leads by example. Her calming and positive temperament often helps to motivate others. She is financially astute with in depth knowledge of accounting systems and principles which combined with her strong analytical skills and systematic and logical thinking makes her a valuable asset to any business organisation.

An avid reader, Anne believes in the importance of encouraging children to read early and to improve their comprehension skills. She served as treasurer of the St. Cyprians Boys School PTA for 2 years and was a member of the School board for one year. She has been a presenter of motivational sessions to 4th form students at St. Mary’s Primary School as part of their preparation to enter secondary school. She has also served on the Board of Directors of The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados for 2 years. A loyal and determined person, Anne is married with two children.

Human Resources Manager

Rhonda Howell

Ms. Rhonda Howell joined HIPAC as HR Manager in October 2013. She brings several years’ experience in all areas of Human Resource Management including Recruitment & Selection, Training, Performance Management, Industrial Relations and Negotiations.

Ms. Howell obtained a MSc. Degree with Distinction in Labour & Employment Relations and a BSc. In Sociology and Law – both from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and Advanced Law from the Barbados Community College. She has also attended many seminars in Labour Administration, Employment Relations, Conciliation, Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Sales and Marketing Manager

Mischa Knight

Mischa Knight joined the Hipac Limited management team in June 2012. Prior to joining the Hipac team she spent 7 years working in the beverage industry, 5 of which were with local conglomerate Banks Holdings Limited.

Mischa came to Hipac with a wealth of experience in sales and distribution as well as the marketing of fast moving consumer goods. Over the span of her career she has managed sales and personnel in the hospitality sector, large retail and wholesale sectors as well as many locally produced and imported beverage brands.

Mischa is responsible for the local and export sales and marketing of all brands produced by Hipac, the largest of which is the ever-popular Farmer’s Choice brand. Described by her colleagues as dedicated and hardworking with excellent interpersonal skills she is known to work extremely well under pressure.

A travel enthusiast, avid reader and part time cross fitter Mischa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Management and a Master’s Degree in International Management. Aside from bacon, which is her weakness, her favourite Famer’s Choice product is the Farmer’s Choice Seasoned Burger.

Engineering Manager

Mr. Tony Gill

New to the food industry, Tony welcomes the opportunity to work in such a dynamic environment. He, however, is not new to industries requiring a creative, multi-disciplinary approach to addressing issues and providing support to the key players. No time for the Food Network but Tony rates the episode of Tool Time where Tim, the "Tool Man", Taylor puts a bigger motor on a food processer as "classic."

Quality Assurance Manager

Mr. Edward Massiah

Trained in the United Kingdom with a background in Microbiology and Food Science with 20 years hands-on technical experience at HIPAC Limited and associated industries. Edward manages the team responsible for day-to-day quality assurance, santitation in the plant, and for product development and testing. Edward says, "I get paid to taste the ham every day! Someone has to do it."

Production Manager

Mr. Winsley Griffith

Winsley joined the family at HIPAC Limited after being transferred from Hanschell Inniss Limited in 1982. He joined the company as a Senior Production Worker and worked his way up to a Production Supervisor and now holds the post of Production Manager. Winsley is responsible for the production and staffing of the plant through his supervisory team of seven persons. He worked in the construction industry as a plumber for about seven years before getting into the manufacturing sector.
